Homemade Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you're like me and love when a recipe is posted first rather than after the life story, you've come to the right place 🙌 One important tip I would give is to take out the cookies when the border is golden and the middle looks soft and gooey ( 8 mins baking rather than 10) for a chewy finish that you might love like I do. See below for recipe and enjoy!

RECIPE:

-3 cups all-purpose flour

-1 cup unsalted butter

-1 cup brown sugar

-1 cup white sugar

-2 tsp vanilla extract

-2 large eggs

-1/2 tsp baking powder

-1 tsp baking soda

-1 tsp sea salt

-2 cups chocolate chips or chunks

Yields: 36 cookies

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder

  • Mix together butter and sugars until combined.

  • Beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy.

  • Mix in the dry ingredients until combined.

  • Add 2 cups of chocolate chips and mix well.

  • Use a cookie scoop or roll 2 TB cookie dough for each cookie and place on the baking sheet a couple inches apart.

  • Bake in pre-heated oven for approximately 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven when the edges are golden brown and the middles look soft ( you might think they're not cooked all the way but I promise they will cool and taste amazing)

  • Let them cool for at least 5 to 10 mins before enjoying

It's worth repeating, I feel like my secret weapon when making cookies is taking them out when I mentioned above, it is life changing! Actual footage of one of my girls living her best summer life and eating a cookie for breakfast 🍪🥛
